ONLINE RECRUITMENT BUSINESS ABSEILING TO HELP BEAT DEMENTIA

Sheffield based MyJobGroup.co.uk, specialists in localised jobs boards, are scaling new heights for the Alzheimer's Society.

Seven members of MyJobGroup staff, including Managing Director Glenn Chapman, are taking part in a sponsored abseil at Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough Football Stadium on Sunday 5th April.

The daredevil group from the company, whose job websites include www.mysheffieldjobs.co.uk, www.mymanchesterjobs.co.uk and www.mybirminghamjobs.co.uk will make the 30 metre abseil back down to earth from the top of the stand and are hoping to raise £1000 as a team.

Glenn says, 'We wanted to do something for the local community that we could all take part in and that would have an impact. We know that the Sheffield branch of the Alzheimer's Society provides care and support for people in our area with dementia, and we wanted to support their work by doing this sponsored abseil.'

'Please sponsor our team by visiting www.justgiving.com/myjobgroup and help us reach our target.

'In Sheffield alone, there are 6700 people with dementia, We want to help these people, their carers, friends and families by raising as much as we can!'

Anna Mynott, fundraiser at the Sheffield branch, commenting on the event says:

'It's great to see a local business support the work of Sheffield Alzheimer's Society branch. We rely on donations and fundraising events like this to be able to carry out our work.

'As the population ages, it is important to raise awareness of this devastating illness and provide crucial support for people with dementia and their carers.'
